Ummm..I would cut the hair some what shorter. Maybe get some layers......get some highlights..Some light browns or some darker blonds... the cutting adn layers will give it some body.

i say wear brown, or aqua it will really bring out your eyes. wear a lots of masscara, and a little bit of bronse eye shadow. don't go too heavy on the make-up- try to look natural. and soft tones maybe make an up-do for your hair. or you could put your hair in two braids or put one braid to the the side and tie a little bow at the end or a cute headband (put it on your hair, then pull it back a little, pull it forward again to creat a little "poof". or you could just make a "poof" with a cute clip/berett).

hi, i hope this helps. First we'll start by clearing up the difference in hi-lites and low-lites. Hi-lites add streaks to your hair that are lighter than your current color, low-lites add streaks to your hair that are darker than your current color. For example, on your hair, a bright blonde streak would be considered a hi-lite and an auburn or brown streak would be considered a low-lite. When at a salon, if you're looking for more depth and dimension, or looking to tone your current color down a little more but you still want some streaks, you can get hi-lites and low-lites at the same time, this way you'll have some brighter streaks and some darker streaks to balance you color and make your hair appear more dimensional. If you have a budget to stay within (salons can be expensive depending on length of hair) then i would recommend an at home kit. The one i use at home is called Frost and Design and you put a cap on and pull the peices you want out (so you can determine how much you want colored and how thickly you want it colored because very thick streaks are called "chunks"). It's relatively simple and inexpensive. If you want to color all around first, as streaking will leave you with some gray, try an at home kit that has all over color and streaking included. I've got medium length hair, naturally medium/dark ash brown in color. I've got olive colored skin and chocolate brown eyes. As a child, I had dishwater blond hair. I got my hair cut and now it goes to by collar bone. Its all the same length and I now have to put it up in a pony tail every day!! I hate it so much but my parents say I have to suck it up. girl you got some hair problems. i heard about these extentions by jessica simpson and i think that you should try them. they are cheap and they clip on. if not you can always try braids. but not normal ones since your hair seems short. try french braids or cool ones that you can find on the internet. when i was little i used to do a braid that had a ribbon weaving through it. it looks good and it will hide your short hair.

In any case if you have a beauty supply store (Sally's for instance) one product I use now is Rusk ID Eliminate (link below)!! It is very gentle from my experience.

I have even used it to create highlights after dyeing my friend's hair. Other times I have used it to slightly lighten a dye job that came out a bit darker than she wanted; she was thrilled with the finish as I used ID Elimin8 to somewhat lighten the top layer leaving the nape area the color of the dye job. Since my friend likes her shoulder-length hair touselled and slightly flipped in the nape area, the finished job was sexy on her.

I would just buy Kool Aid! Since your hair is blonde, it will dye right in, and u can do it in any color they make! It washes out in a week or so and it's cheap. U can obviously get it at any Wal-Mart, Target, or grocery store, but they also sell cheap hair dye that comes in those colors that is washable at Wal-mart as well.

Actually, you could just go to Sally, and pick up some Manic Panic. It doesn't wash RIGHT out, and can kind of leave a stain, but it's the best. They sell it at Hot Topic, too. You coul also use Special Effects, which washes out WAY faster than Manic Panic but will most likely stain your bathtub (mines is still pink/red/blue/green). If you get several colors, it WILL get expensive (one jar of Manic Panic costs about 8 bucks, and Special Effects online costs about 10-13 dollars). But all wild colors are washable, none are permanent, and all look good. Try googling the brands I gave you to see some results on other people. They do work quite well, as long as you know what you're doing. Hope this helps.

dont go to sallys, those hair colors take FOREVER to get out of your hair. i went through a phase of this back in the day. look for Manic Panic, they make all the colors you could possibly want, and it washes out very easily. if youre looking for something to stay a little longer, Special Effects also makes every color you could want. neither last as long as sally, if you want washable, and it looks dyed into your hair. hope that helps! you can get em both at Hot Topic

Well, I don't know about if you want them to be washable, as in, come out every time you wash your hair.. Those usually look crappy.

But, if you want to actually dye it, I would go with Manic Panic. It's definately the best. And, if you don't do that, you'll want to get some type of stain.

The reason it comes out better at a salon is a combination of the two. For one thing, boxed dyes can't be altered at home. A professional colorist can alter colors by mixing them so they compliment your hair and skin colors. Professional colorists also have the benefit of years of experience--they know where to put highlights, how light to make them, and basically have the ability to create the exact look you want. If you're going to do your highlights yourself, a word of warning--you can't see your whole head! As for trusting a friend or family member, they will be able to at least see your hair from all angles, but lack the expertise you would find from a professional. Your best bet is always to go to a professional salon, but if you know someone who has done the process before, boxed kits can work out ok. Just don't expect it to look EXACTLY like it would if you'd gone to the salon.

I can tell you from a personal experience, go to the stylist. I decided to dye my hair and just got some dye from the store and tried. It came out terrible for a number of reasons. The first one is that my hair is quite thick and I guess I should have used two boxes. Also, the dye from the stores had different chemicals in it from the salon. The fumes almost made me pass out. I actually tried to dye it once before and it turned out ok, but my husband was there to make sure I got the formula all over; this time it was really streaky, so make sure you have someone with you if you do decide to do it at home. Also, I ended up having to go to the salon and having someone fix it, which some salons charge more for when they have to do a "corrective coloring". So, if it were me; I would just same myself the hassle and go to the salon because if you mess up and have to go anyways, you will not have saved any money.

Any chemical application to the hair causes a certain amount of damage, especially if repeated frequently. Color applications add to the hair and bleach applications take away from the hair (strip). There are tons of products on the market to help maintain the health of your hair if you should need them. Just ask your stylist. I would do it, it is refreshing to change your hair color and/or style. You can dye it again, there are people who change their hair color several times a year. If doing at home, follow the instructions included with your product, over processing will definately damage your hair. Have fun.

My suggestion would be to definatly have this professionally done, then ask your stylist to recommend a good conditioner for your hair(as everyones hair is different and needs certain conditioners and shampoos). As long as you take care of it afterwards and wait at least 6 weeks between chemical processes, you should be fine.

Hair loss can be part of a medical condition....in your case, it might be a hormone problem. My best advice is contact your physician as soon as possible. Try highlighting your hair instead of dying it. When you highlight it looks a lot better than dying because you'll have a variety of blended tones in your hair rather than just one flat color. Maybe try a red that's darker than your natural tone, and/or some light brown. Also, when you highlight, they fade more naturally so you can let them grow out if you want.

My daughter has platinum blond hair and wants it colored blue. I got Beyond The Zone Color Jamz at Sally's Beauty Supply. Huckleberry Blue. When we rinsed it turned out much more like a very light blue. Really brassy colored and light. She wanted/wants the darker blue like our school colors of Dark Blue and White. alright well when i was younger i always wanted to be blond. (my hair is naturally medium brown) so basically every summer for about three years i would get highlights or use some cheap peroxide/lemon based gel in the sun. by the school year my hair would be blondish orange and would eventually grow out. last summer i had my grandma(a hairdresser) put bleach blond chunky highlights in my hair, which i hated and immediately ran to cvs and bought a box of my original hair color and dyed it back. unfortunately about two weeks or so, as the color was fading, the highlights were coming back out to reveal ugly brassy tones. so ever since then ive just been dyeing my hair every 2 months or so. now in april i'm going on vacation to the bahammas and since i'm going to be tan i want my hair to be a little lighter than my normal tone, but i don't want to do highlights. so should i dye it before i go so the sun can work with it? or will the sun work against it? any suggestions.ex brands?pleasehelp

This will make your hair look lighter naturally - and it will not be as noticeable when the roots start to come in. Some salons offer great specials for 1st time customers. Well for one, your doing to much to your hair. 2nd, if your grandmother is a hair stylist, why are you asking us...she'll will tell you the same thing. You wanna go lighter, your gunna have to strip it, bleach it, or put highlights in it. If u run to Sally's they have this color line that will lighten your shade 2 shades lighter, but Ive never used them, again they are going to be just as harsh.

My suggestion, If u want a lighter shade. Get the highlights, they will be either blond blond or a brassy orange. SO then get a color from Sallys, if they have an orange base, get an ash light brown with more of a blue base, and if they are blond, get a light brown with a violet base, mix equl parts with a 20 volume developer

Why not? I have med brown hair and usually dye it a mahogany red color. This time I bought medium blonde, for a change. I never started dying my hair til a few years ago in my 40's. I am confident with the brand I use. Luminess. Big Lots is the only place I have found it at. It leaves my hair silky and shiny and the color is very natural looking. Why not try the one that is semi-permanant and washes out within a month. That's how I usually test colors.

If the red is still in your hair, ask your grandma to strip the color from your hair and go for any colors that have the word, "ash" in the name... anything that doesn't have red, because that's where the brassiness comes from. Going blond, especially for girls with dark hair, has to be gradual. Try going "Light Ash Brown" then maybe a lighter blond, but the key is: STAY AWAY FROM RED TONES OF ANY KIND.

I think you should dye your hair after you go on vacation. Usually the sun changes your haircolor (but not in a good way).... it will make it orange-y and dry!!! : ( Also, if you go swimming, your hair might turn green! So my vote is: dye it AFTER you go on vacation!!!

What you have to remember is that the base color for brown hair is red. When lightening it will go through different stages of red, orange and yellow which is why when using peroxide/lemon based products your hair turns orange.

Go to a professional hairstylist. Book an appointment for a partial weave.

Tell the stylist that you want a natural looking weave. Make sure you let her/him know that "chunky" is not what you want. Also ask her/him to look at the color swatch book so you both can get a better idea of what colors you really want.

Big note make sure you let the stylist know you've been using home haircolor every two months as some build up and are harder to remove.

I was a teenager in the UK, in the 70's %26amp; trust me - what people call punk now, is nothing like then.

Basically, it was all people wearing crap clothes, bad hair, listening to people who couldn't play their instruments.

Personally, I went with long green hair - down to my mid-back. I used food coloring %26amp; it was water-soluble. So when it rained......green clothes. Later, I went to a flat-top, sprayed silver - with car paint. It was one solid mass %26amp; I had to have someone cut it off in one piece, shaving me bald.

Oh - and piercing all body parts with any sharp object, regardless whether it was sterile (normally it wasn't - no AIDS fears then).

So true authentic punk - look as BAD as you can. Don't wash regularly, bad skin complexion, etc.

Hair - you could always go with a mohawk %26amp; keep it straight with sugar solution.

if your hair is blond I would not dye it black i would put black chunk highlights in it, as for cloths, you can still wear skinny jeans, black one prefered, with shirts with black in them and maybe a thick belt around your tummy or hips, ( not in your belt loops) for jewley really anything, i would go for long wrap-a-round necklaces, that are silver or a randon color, but that are long, ( hanging below the chest) You could wear oot covers over your pants too and then your chucks, REMEMBER, PUNK IS WHAT YOU WANT IT TO BE. I love punk girls, they're the best. Hot Topic is definatly the place to shop, if your area has one of those (if not, check out their web site). Chuck Taylor shoes are awesome (probably what you meant by converse?). Long socks with stripes. Personally, I like some kind of black pants, but not baggy...... like Dickies or something. A graphic tee that is either a band shirt, or says something on it that is completely random. Keep your natural hair color, but maybe put a few streaks (not many) of another color (blue or red?) through it. And of course, bracelets and rings. I've always liked the thin rubber bracelets.

I'm sure you'll look great. Can't go wrong with a punk girl.

If you could grab a straightner of a friend or sister , gel it first and then straighten. the hairspray (make sure you check straightner instructions). Or you could dye some of it black and have black at the top and blonde at the bottom :D

- Dye it black

- Go to the hairdresser and them to cut it emo

- Straighten it

1.Grow your hair out; the front and side parts so they cover a good portion of your face. Some people grow out the back. If it's short in the back, you can spike it up with gel, but this looks tacky if it gets too long.

6.Accessorize your hair, once you're happy with the color and style. Bows are always your best choice, along with other funky hair clips. Don't forget the eyeliner! Girls can never have too much. If you're a guy, go moderate on the eyeliner and forget accessories.

7.Leave your hair just everywere like it is in the morning. Mostly works great! If you have short emoish hair you may want to spike it or just mess with it after your morning shower.

If u are ready for a LOT of maintenance then yes. Becuz if u want it bright pink, you'll have to bleach ur hair and then dye it pink. Plus pink isn't a dye...its a pigment so you'll have to keep that up more so than the blonde! So just think about it first

Manic Panic's Hot Hot Pink is a wonderful pink and is very bright (and glows under blacklight).

Try vitamin supplements for your skin. I get the same thing and have success over time taking vitamins A and E. Be careful and take them as directed though, because vitamin A can be toxic if you get too much. Also try a good skin moisturizer from a health food store with vitamins A and E in them. Also, www.Baar.com has good natural products for skin.

You hair would look good swept up with tendrils, either straight or slightly wavy, around the hairline. You can use a large or jumbo size curling iron or combo dryer/curler to get this affect. Try to curl 1/2 inch segments at a time so you get nice fullness at the top and back. Use a good styling foam on hairline tendrils, then dry them with the curler/dryer vertical with hair wrapped around it (not too near scalp though or they will stick out too far). Don't over dry, or it will take longer to relax any curls if you end up curling hair too tight.

Experiment before the weekend of homecoming so you find just the right look for you.

Pink works best on prelightened hair. It should be light blonde if you want it to show up. There are a few lines out there that have bright pinks. The only problem is that they wash out really fast because they are semi permanent not permanent hair color.

Be prepared to redo the pink pieces every 4 weeks if you want to keep the color vibrant.

I woulds also go for a couple of large chunks instead of smaller pieces because they will show up more.

Maybe you can do a chunk at the nape of your neck to see how much you like it. Pink is fun and will work well on lighter hair like yours.

pink can be tricky so if you can afford a stylist, go to one. Find out from people who've used that salon first before going. it's terribly easy to go to someone bad when you could have done it better yourself. if you do do it youself separate the hair and do't do too many pieces or you could look really wierd. Be VERY careful with your bangs its too easy to screw that up.

just beware that your hair might come out to be really damaged after that because dying your hair that bright will take a while to do and it kills your hair, but ask your hair stylist if they can put some sort of conditioner on it before so that theres a chance that your hair wont get damaged as much. and after getting your hair highlighted, ask your hairstylist for a conditioner or some sort of product that you can put on daily so that your damaged highlighted hair can somewhat be repaired

If you want to go blond you might want to try Bleaching.

Be careful though, Because you can't bleach to often without harsh damage to your hair.

If you dye again though you'll want to either get it professionally done or get a darker color blond to start off then get the blond you want since you're going from darker to lighter.

Actually you should not shampoo more than every other day...If you feel its necessary rinse your hair with warm water on the other days, and condition as usual.

You could also try a dry shampoo (Oscar Blandi is really nice, sold at Sephora, or Bumble and Bumble) to use on your roots. It soaks up oil and adds volume so you don't need to shampoo. They use it alot in Europe to get the sexy bedhead look)

Your hair needs to be conditioned everyday.

It needs those moisture and nutrients from the conditioner.

If you didn't already know, The top of your head doesn't need to be conditioned but maybe once a week. If you condition it everyday, it won't be able to stay clean and the shampoo won't be able to strip off the old oil and dead skin.

You're only supposed to condition your hair from the neck line. Or whatever hair you'd put into a pony tail.

I heard that Pantene is really bad for your hair. Gardnier Fructise is the best out of all the shampoos/conditioners I've tried, even the expensive ones. You should use conditioner every day so it doesn't get too dry. I double condition my hair every day (1st all of it, 2nd time just the ends) and it keeps it nice.

Please, dont use sun in. It is just diluted bleach in a bottle. It will totally dry out your hair and damage it. I used to use it and wish I hadnt.

~~It may cost money, but atleast it will be beautiful and worth it. Go get hi lites at a hair salon. Ask for an all over foil, but you want to tell them you want it to look like the sun did it. It will look wonderful, and as long as you use good shampoo, (please no suave, if it's not from a salon, i like Dove Moisturizing) it should stay in excellent shape. Best of luck!!

Highlights only lighten the part of the hair that is highlighted, they don't lighten underneath (which is usually darker).

Sun In is fine, but you do need to be in the sun for a while for it to work, and sunlight (especially hot sun in the summer) will dry your hair out.

You could try rinsing your hair after every shampoo with lemon juice - that will lighten it over time without drying it out.

Or you could have a hairdresser do an all-over lighter blond for you.

Definitely don't use Sun-in!!! I cannot believe it is even still on the market. When I used it years ago, it made my dark blonde hair turn reddish. Go with the highlights. It will give you a lift around your face and still look natural.

Hair dressers do hate Sun In--don't ask them about it, they'll rant about it forever, lol! Buuut like you, I always want my hair to be a slightly lighter shade in the summertime. I'm also fairly broke at all times, so I don't have the money to splurge on highlights or the patience to do the boxed highlighting gig, so I use Sun In. The first time I use it, I spray it lightly all through my hair and then comb it. You can use a blowdryer to dry it if you won't be in the sun afterwards. It'll take a couple of uses to see results, so I always use it about 3 times the first week. After that, I just do a monthly touchup. For the touchup, I part my hair down the middle, spray the Sun In along the part and comb it through. I use the Pantene Blonde Expressions shampoo and conditioner all the time, it's wonderful and affordable.

Of course professional highlights would look more perfect, but if you're on a tight budget, Sun In definitely gets the job done!
