I have a job interview in an office today. I'm going to be wearing a black business suit, with a white shirt under the jacket. I'm not sure how to wear my hair tho. Normally, I wear it down, but I'm afraid that I look too young. I am 25 yrs old, and have a young looking face (ppl often mistake me for a high schooler). I have long, straight, blond hair. Is it too plain to just pull it back in a simple ponytail? What can I do to help me look more professional? Thanks!

You sound like me! I liked to pull my hair back in a somewhat tight (not where it pulls ur eyes back) but kind of neat tight pony and use a hair band and take a small piece of ur pony tail and wrap it around the band and pull it thru. Looks very clean neat profess. and low maintenance ! You wont look like youre always going to be late fixing ur hair! It's hard being a young cute blond! I have two daughter too and we have have to work hard to be taken serious! Good luck !!

Maybe a ponytail, maybe a bun. Whatever you like better.

Pull it in a ponytail, but turn it in a bun, it will make you look professional, or put it in a ponytail and curl the end, very sophisticated

I'm graduating this year so I've been reading up on interviews a lot. Women who wear their hair pulled back to an interview are perceived as taking their job more seriously and working harder than those who wear theirs down. Go with something simple and sleek, like a low ponytail with a side part, and the hair elastic covered by a strand of hair held with a bobby pin or small clip. Also, women who wear make-up (not heavy make-up, but enough for a polished look) are perceived as being higher earners, which basically translates into being better workers, so this too would help on an interview. Both of these apply once you've gotten the job, too.

According to statistics, lesbians are viewed as being more competent than straight women in the office world, and the shorter a straight woman's hair is, the more competent people view her as. Put your hair up so they can't tell how long it is, like a folded-over ponytail or something. There have been several instances where I couldn't get a job until I got my hair cut chin length. Hope yours goes well enough that you don't have to resort to lopping it off. Good luck.

A bun or ponytail would be best based on your dress.

I think a bun is cute, maybe leave a front strip of hair down against your face (maybe even one on each side), that's always cute and simple.
Simple is best for an interview.
Good Luck!

i think most people always say have it up in a ponytail becuase it looks neat but if you dont like that then why not have it half up and half down. it will look much better and shows you have made an effort. (thats what i think anyway). good luck
