If your hair is real dark...this is not a good idea. Once you go blonde....you have to keeo going back frequently for touch-ups. This can be expensive....not to mention damage your hair and eventually your hair will be frizzy if you don't use professional products. Just a mess.

dying your hair is stupid anyway. just listen to her. i love the idea of dying my hair but i wouldn't because once you start you can't stop and i'm happy enough with my normal brown hair anyway...

I would highly suggest not dying your hair. I used to in high school all the time and know my hair is way thin. If you absolutley have to then maybe try getting something less drastic like higlights or a temporary dye.

Get a product call sun in, and spray it in to damp hair after every shower. It will gradually lighten your hair so your mom might not notice the change as if you died it, and it's not die. It's a natural lemon based hair lightener. So it's not "dying your hair".

The product is intended to work by being in the sun, but if you don't get a lot of sun exposure you can obtain the same results by blow drying your hair after your showers.

Hiya. Try and tell your mom that you are not a child anymore, and that you want it for yourself. Your mom has had her own days of when she was young, and wanting to do things exactly like you, so if she has had her youth, she should allow you yours. My mom was like this with me, and I just did it, she was in shock, but it taught her a lesson that I am not 2 years old anymore and I don't need to ask permission for everything that I do in life.
