Do you ever feel discouraged when you see someone with perfect hair?

Whenever I get a haircut I walk out feeling FANTASTIC. but then some hotshot girl walks buy with perfectly smooth, bleach blond hair that isnt stringy at all. they also usually have their makeup perfect. THIS IS SO DISCOURAGING.

Has that happened to you?

Well I used to feel very discouraged whenever that happened. But now I don't feel that way that often.

Well about two summers ago, I just got my hair cut and (I am naturally brunette.) Well I had to go to the salon by myself because school was about to begin (since summer was over, and my mom was at work) This was the first time I had ever went by myself, so I was pretty nervous about what was going to happen. And when I saw the stylist I was especially nervous...She had a jet black Mohawk! So all was fine...to start. She asked me what I wanted and I told her THIN BLOND HIGHLIGHTS. So she went to get her instructor so she could look over this beginner hairstylist. So she began to dye my hair. And I knew something wasn't right. The way she was dying my hair just wasn't right. She wasn't even using foil she was just completely dying my hair. So at the end I looked in the mirror and my entire head was bleach blond and there were little gray like bald spots. Seeing that they were closing soon the stylist began to rush! She said,"I want to get your haircut done so just don't tell my instructor I started without permission." I didn't know what to say...I was speechless. So she chopped my hair. I was like the last person done and there were tons of people there getting ready to go and I started balling. And the next day we went and got it fixed.

Well sorry that you heard my entire story. But since that incident happened I haven't went back and gotten my hair cut. I know that sometimes it can be discouraging but just remember live your life to please yourself and no one else. Cause thats all that matters. I wouldn't even let other people bother you. Just try to be comfortable in your own skin...or hair in this case.

Hun, work on your self image. Allow yourself to think that you are beautiful. Adore your self as a whole, and not just as a haircut. Life will be so much better then.

yeah..but i am a blonde. with good makeup and non stringy hair....just get better hair products and work it.

I do. Don't worry. Just get some good hair products and makeup. Whatever makes you feel beautiful, and try not to lose that fantastic feeling you get when you get a haircut.

when ur out in the world u cant compare urself to other girls because ur setting urself up for disappointment! anyways as long as u like how u look, u should go around with ur head up high and confident no matter what!!! and yeah it happens to me plenty of times, but i shove the discouraging thoughts and feelings out of my head!!!

Not really, no. She is her, I am me and when it comes down to it....I'm way better LOL just kidding!! Seriously, no because I am pretty happy with what I have going and nobody looks "perfect" all of the time anyway so she has her bad hair and makeup days just like you do. Don't get discouraged at all. Practice with makeup and hair until you get the looks that make you feel perfect. It's just a matter of practice.

yeah I know what you mean but some girls spend so much money and time on their hair, its crazy so I just try to accept my hair. And everyone has differnent hair types so some people have naturaully gorgeous hair (for whats in now...silky straight.)

Its sad (as you said), when they have their make-up literally flawless too. Oh well, just remember there is one you and only one you and your unique the way you are.

No,that has never happened to me.Just because their hair is less stringy than mine doesn't mean that they look better than me,it just means that they found the look that works for them and i found mine.Different things work for different people.
