Dying part of light brown hair white?

How would I do this??? I've never dyed my hair before, and I don't really want to go to a salon to do it. Would I just bleach the front of my hair?? Would I actually need any dye?? Would my hair feel any different than it normally does?? And how hard would it be to keep this up all of the time???

........Yes you will need to bleach it........You will need to section off the part you want white.......use powder bleach mixed with 40 volume peroxide......all from beauty supply...... apply with a bleach brush and wrap the section in foil.... check every 5 minutes be cause to much bleach can make you hair break off or fall out...If you won't go to a salon.....why don't you go to a beauty school and let them do it.....this is not a job for a amateur..
