im going to try to explain as best i can since i dont have picture to give you.i have brown hair.i want to get it so on the sides you see dark and the blond hair,then as it goes to the top it is all blonde.i have short hair,if you look at recent pictures of mena suvari,like that short.in some shots her hair is blonde on top and darker on the sides,probably cause its wet,but i dont want to dye my whole head blonde,i want the brown scalp with some blonde on the sides and the mostly blonde on top.does any 1 know what im saying and can u help.and yes i will go to a pro and not do it myself,do ineed highlights or is the dark parts just roots from original dye job?
How do i get my hair this way?
you need highlights, the dark part is the original hair color, i guess if you want your roots to show, you could ask the hiar dresser to not color them.
