Without fail, no matter how much money I pay or how "great" the hairstylist is they always, eventually botch up my hair.....
I can never find anybody who CONSISTENTLY does a good job....I was trying to grow out my natural brown hair and have a few sprinkled highlights throughout..... The last visit (to a guy who normally does a good job) has now left me with really blond hair again (way too many highlights and left under the heater for too long) then when trying to tone it down i now have really blond hair with a reddish tint where my brown was.....questions... (please answer if you can)
1. How do i ensure that my hairdresser does a consistently good job (if thats possible)...should I ask them to write down how and what they do for the next time etc....
2. If you color your hair do you have this problem too?
3. whats the best way to fix my hair now?
So WHAT do i do now?if you're a hairdresser or color your hair please help!!?
1. Yes, your stylist should keep a card with info on what they do! I have never met a stylist who doesn鈥檛 do this. My mom is a stylist, and could probably produce records, if asked, of what she did to Mrs. Smith鈥檚 head in August of 1987鈥o joke. Until recently when the salon I currently go to changed color lines, I had a 100% consistent color job from one visit to the next. Now we鈥檙e just working to understand the reds in the new line.
2. No. The worst I ever had was a guy who didn鈥檛 properly correct my golden undertones so my red would fade to brassy blond. (blech!) So I switched salons.
3. If you鈥檝e already had two rounds of color treating, I鈥檇 wait a couple of weeks before trying anything else. You certainly don鈥檛 want to over-process your hair.
Find a stylist who has his/her hair colored the way you want yours to be. That鈥檚 how I met mine. I asked her where she got her hair done, and it turned out to be in a salon five min from my house

Any hairstylist can make a mistake. I have had similar problems. I'd go to a colourist for colour and a stylist for a cut. Also, a stylist needs to know your hair and how it'll look once you wash it.

Go back and have the hairdresser fix what you didn't like. Tell him/her what happened and I am sure they will do the job again free of charge. They have much better products then you can find int he drugstores. That would be my suggestion. Otherwise, dye your hair you natural color and wait another month to highlight it again.
Don't dependont he hairdresser to write down the info, you do it yourself and take it with you every time you go.

Hi, I have been coloring my hair for a long time now, and I have encountered that problem. It was a very aggravating thing for me, but what I done was put a darker brown on it than I wanted and put lighter brown hightlights back in it. THe dark brown covered the blonde very well for me and the light brown highlights lightened it back up to just about where I wanted it to be. It worked out or me, but no matter who you get answers from or what answers you get, you have to consider that they might not have the same hair type as you, which can effect how easily or not your hair colors for you.
Hope I helped. Good luck. Hope everything works out for you.

I've never had this problem. it all depends on what place you go to get your hair done. Most really expensive hair places will usually do a good job and wont mess up as bad as the person you had just gone to. It takes a while to find the right person that you like to do your hair. just be patient and test out the waters on what choice you have between.
